70 YEARS OF SUBBUTEO
The historic buildings which have been transformed into One Warwick Park Hotel were once home to the popular game, Subbuteo. It was so popular that in 1992 there was an attempt to make it an Olympic sport!
Launched to the public in 1947 and invented by Peter Adolph, Subbuteo is name to a group of table top games, mainly association football. To separate itself from all of the other table top games on the market, Subbuteo offered hundreds of different team kits and accessories - representing real teams,. This gave the game much more personality for players who could pick their chosen teams - and all of which were originally hand painted, in the very same building that now is One Warwick Park Hotel.
