2018 Colour Of The Year – Ultra Violet

2018 is all about Ultra Violet purple. So expect to see plenty of purple floral inspiration, along with invites and table décor including napkins and plates.

Quirky Dessert Tables

Popsicles, doughnuts and ice cream sandwiches; 2018 will see more brides going for a dessert table over the traditional last course, but this doesn’t mean that wedding cakes are a thing of the past. The cake cutting ceremony is making a comeback; couples want that photo in their album, the same one their parents have in theirs. Sometimes you cannot beat tradition!

Hanging Floral Installations

Couples are keeping their guest tables simple and focusing more on ceiling decoration. Hanging flowers or greenery above tables creates a great dynamic to the space, playing with heights and viewpoints.

Black Accents

There were several trends evident in Bridal Fashion Week. Major designers are incorporating design details such as black accents into the classic white bridal look, which to many seems madness. However, when you see the modern and effective monochromatic look, you’ll be sure to add this impressive effect to your big day.

Geometric Metallics

Since the mention of copper décor, we can’t help but notice how much of a trend this has become and it’s here to stay.

3D Florals

Lace is still very much a favourite when it comes to the wedding dress, however the particular emphasis in 2018 will be on delicacy and transparency. Petal-perfect styles including 3D floral applique dominated the Spring 2018 bridal runway shows.

Wedding Wreaths

Thought wreaths were just for Christmas? Think again! Wreaths are becoming a popular decoration for weddings throughout the whole year. In line with the foliage trend, wreaths are such a fabulous way of decorating an unused space adding colour and sweet smells to your day.
