What does your day-to-day routine at work look like?

Emily: ‘’It is extremely varying, but it all starts with a cuppa. As well as arranging weddings, showing clients the venue and discussing queries, I also look at the day to day events we host here at Salomons Estate. It’s filled with briefs, invoices and numerous meetings with Duty Managers and Chefs, no day is ever the same.’’

What is your favourite part of organising a wedding?

Vicki: ‘’Having worked with the couple from the very beginning, I would have to say my favourite part of hoisting is their first dance. When all the nervous feelings of the ceremony and stress of the speeches have passed. You can finally see everyone start to relax as the party begins!’’

What would be the one piece of advice you would offer to future bride and grooms?

Emily: ‘’Don’t panic… you are not meant to know all the details of a wedding, relax knowing we are on hand to answer any queries you have. We won’t run your big day without having all the nitty gritty details sorted.’’

Georgie: ‘’The one piece of advice I would offer future Bride and Grooms is to use Pinterest!! – Mainly because it’s fun but it also allows you to source inspiration and put together a mood board which will then be a huge help when meeting your suppliers. Make sure your Groom has an input as the best Wedding themes we have seen are when you can clearly see the Bride and Grooms personalities come through!’’

What are your favourite wedding trends and what do you predict in 2018?

Georgie: ‘’Marble and Copper definitely have to be the new ‘it’ combo when it comes to home décor right now, I think this pairing will start to work its way into becoming a big wedding season trend next year. The white marble with metallic copper details add warmth and contrast and definitely create an insta-worthy day!’’
