How long have you been at SEVENTEEN, One Warwick Park?
I joined in October last year, just in time for the busy festive period!
What’s your favourite cocktail on the menu?
Personally my favourite has to be the Espresso Martini, definitely better to drink than make! A perfect simple, stimulating yet delicious combination!
One cocktail ingredient you can’t live without?
I would say sugar syrup, for the pure reason that it is the core ingredient of nearly every cocktail. I love using fresh ingredients though- lots of fresh fruit where possible- taste great and looks even better!
Strangest drink request?
Definitely a double shot of ‘decaf espresso’… each to their own I guess…
Most popular drink on the menu?
Cocktail wise I would have to say the ‘Bramble’. There is also huge ongoing trend with gin and prosecco (as always a popular choice). Negronis seem to be hailed as the cocktail of 2018 this year, however Aperol Spritz is still a firm favourite. We are also seeing a rise in Tequila based cocktails.
How long have you been in the industry?
I have now been in the industry for 6 years, 3 of which I have spent in Australia.
Favourite thing about working at One Warwick Park Hotel?
As we are a contemporary and well established hotel, it’s great for me to be able to work with the latest and best equipment as well as a great team! Also being in the hub of Chapel Place is a great, vibrant place to be.
Can you give an interesting fact about cocktails that others may not know?
The Bramble was given its name due to the way the blackberry liqueur makes its way through the crushed ice? Also did you know it was Happy Hour every night 5-7pm, although everyone should know that!
